Job Description

Working Animals Giving Service for Kids (W.A.G.S. 4 Kids) is seeking a Program Operations & Training Admin to support the structure, coordination, and execution of our service dog training program, including work within correctional facility partnerships. This is a hybrid role combining training and operations . The right candidate will be equally comfortable managing logistics and stepping into training sessions to support, evaluate, and guide program consistency. This role is critical to maintaining accountability, structure, and quality across the training program. ResponsibilitiesTraining Program Coordination Coordinate weekly training schedules across all program locations Maintain clear, up-to-date schedules for correctional facility programs (Grafton and Mansfield) Ensure trainers and stakeholders are informed and prepared Dog Tracking & Program Oversight Maintain accurate, real-time records of all dogs in training, including: Location Training stage Progress and milestones Track timelines and flag delays or inconsistencies Provide regular updates to leadership Training Support & Execution Participate in training sessions across program locations Provide critical feedback on dog performance and handler progress Maintain consistency in training standards and methods Serve as a substitute trainer when needed Assist with quarterly evaluations and program assessments Consult with trainers and leadership on individual dog cases Administrative Support Support the Director of Training with operational needs Organize documentation, reports, and training records Assist in maintaining consistency across trainers and locations Communication & Accountability Coordinate communication between trainers, leadership, and program partners Follow up on timelines, assignments, and action items Maintain organized and documented communication systems Logistics & Supply Coordination Track and coordinate training supplies, equipment, and materials Support preparation for training sessions and program needs ODRC Program Tracking & Accountability Track ODRC trainer participation, service hours, and overall program engagement Maintain accurate records to support reporting, compliance, and program accountability Monitor and track training supplies, usage, and inventory across correctional facility locations Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential issues in participation, performance, or resource allocation and communicate proactively with leadership Qualifications 3-5 years of experience utilizing positive reinforcement dog training methods Experience training at least two (2) service dogs, either independently or through an accredited organization CCPDT or IAABC certification preferred; ADI-accredited experience strongly valued AKC Good Canine certification accepted Experience in program coordination, operations, or administrative roles Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple moving parts across locations Ability to provide constructive feedback and consult on training cases Comfortable stepping into training sessions and leading when needed Comfortable working in structured environments, including correctional facilities Strong communication and follow-through Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Schedule Part-time (approximately 20 hours/week) Required in-person days: Mondays and Wednesdays (Grafton and Mansfield) Additional flexible hours for coordination and administrative work
