Hybrid Preferred | Remote Considered for Highly Qualified Candidates About the Opportunity Our healthcare staffing firm is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our client's growing behavioral health team at Integrated Care of Great Hickory (ICGH) . This is an exciting 12-week contract assignment with a strong possibility of conversion to a permanent full-time position based on performance and business needs. Contract extensions may also be available. This position is primarily telehealth-based , supporting patients through ICGH's corporate office. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality psychiatric care and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Position Highlights 12-week contract assignment Strong potential for permanent employment Contract extension opportunities available Hybrid work environment preferred Fully remote considered for highly qualified candidates Primarily telehealth services Collaborative, multidisciplinary behavioral health team Responsibilities Create a positive, supportive environment that fosters patients' emotional well-being. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic interviews with the highest level of clinical expertise. Develop accurate psychiatric diagnoses and individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the treatment team. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to each individual's unique mental and behavioral health needs. Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications while ensuring patient safety and medication compliance. Monitor patient progress through routine follow-up appointments and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health concerns. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, case managers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current on evidence-based psychiatric practices. Required Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Psychiatric Nursing (PMHNP) or successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with psychiatric or behavioral health experience. Current, unrestricted state licensure and certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) . Current DEA registration and full prescriptive authority in the state(s) of practice, including authorization to prescribe psychotropic medications. Experience providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management. Demonstrated experience prescribing and managing psychotropic medications. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Compassion, empathy, and professionalism when working with individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to all ethical, legal, and regulatory standards. Proficiency using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus. Experience providing telehealth services is preferred.
