Job Description

Overview LRBH is a well-established mental and behavioral health private practice proudly serving the community for 10 years. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our services to include psychiatric medication management in collaboration with an experienced Physician Assistant. We are seeking a collaborative and supportive supervising psychiatrist/MD to join our team. Position Overview We are seeking a licensed psychiatrist/MD to provide collaborative supervision for a Physician Assistant delivering psychiatric medication management services within an outpatient behavioral health practice. This role is ideal for a psychiatrist interested in flexible, part-time collaboration in a supportive private practice setting. The supervising psychiatrist will provide clinical oversight, consultation, and chart review in accordance with state regulations and best practices for psychiatric care. Qualifications MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry Active and unrestricted North Carolina state medical license Experience in outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health Interest in collaborative, team-based mental health care Strong communication and mentorship skills Position Details Flexible contract or part-time arrangement Primarily supervisory/collaborative role Remote availability per state regulations compensation based on time commitment Responsibilities Provide supervision and collaborative oversight for a Physician Assistant practicing psychiatric medication management Be available for clinical consultation as needed Review and sign charts/documentation in accordance with state and regulatory requirements Support quality assurance and evidence-based psychiatric care Utilize telehealth platforms for consultation and collaboration when appropriate Experience Proven post-residency experience in psychiatry with a focus on pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, or general adult mental health populations. Experience with outpatient clinics that serve diverse patient groups. Demonstrated expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities. Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms and delivering remote psychiatric care effectively. Prior leadership or supervisory roles overseeing Physician Assistants or other healthcare providers in behavioral health settings. Knowledge of medical documentation standards, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA privacy rules. Join us to lead compassionate psychiatric care that transforms lives! $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
