Job Description

To assist HAC SSA staff in preparation of paperwork necessary for job performance.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma /
GED Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in file maintenance Attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Word.
Experience:
Experience in clerical work, typing, filing, computer preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records, Reports, and Correspondence 1. Prepares all packets for use by staff such as: Referral Packets, Homebound Packets, Temporary Placement Packets, PPCD Packets, and Psychological Packets. 2. Send out notices for all 3 year re-evaluations for 7 diagnosticians and 6 speech therapists. 3. Do folder work for all diagnosticians and speech therapists. Including checking files for completed paperwork in student folders, photocopying blank forms, etc. 4. Copy information needed for distribution to schools and parents. 5. Process eligibility folders for the 9 districts. 6. Catalog all special education resources, such as test kits and computer resources. 7. Keep accurate records for Medicaid monies received and disbursed to the 9 school districts. Distribute monthly listing of Medicaid students to HAC SSA staff and other billing entities. 8. Check and process all Medicaid paperwork for all staff. 9. Create and maintain necessary special education forms in Microsoft Word and post to website. 10. Assist with office procedures as assigned.

11. Assist in answering incoming calls, taking reliable messages, and routing to appropriate staff. 12. Assist in office duties of Special Education Secretary. 13. Maintain confidentiality of information.
