Department Business Administration Position Type Student Salary $8.00•$9.00 per hour Open Date 11/14/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The purpose of this position it to provide clerical support for the Business Administration departmental office. Minimum Qualifications Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities General office knowledge of answering phones, faxing, scanning, photocopying, data entry and filing. Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to be responsible, accountable, dependable, patient and punctual Willingness to be a team player. Ability to complete clerical duties with accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Professional demeanor. Special Instructions to Applicants This is a security-sensitive position. Job Duties Job Duty Check mail daily. Process on-campus and off-campus mail. Sort and distribute mail within the department. Deliver paperwork to other departments on campus as needed. Job Duty Maintain student files. Type labels for student files according to color code system. Keep files locked when not in use. Job Duty Answer calls as needed. Take detailed messages. Transfer calls to correct department faculty and staff. Call students as needed. Job Duty Cover the front counter during staff lunch shift. Job Duty Assist faculty and staff with photocopying and projects. Job Duty Assist with set-up of rooms for various department meetings.
