Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Front Office Chiropractic Assistant, where your energetic and organized approach will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the smooth operation of our clinic. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your proactive attitude will help ensure efficient clinic flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Schedule appointments accurately while coordinating with practitioners' calendars to optimize clinic flow. Verify insurance coverage, process medical billing, and handle collections related to patient accounts. Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring all medical records are complete and properly filed in electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing office supplies to support daily operations. Support clinical staff by preparing paperwork for care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and other medical documentation needs. Stay informed about health insurance policies including Medicare procedures to assist patients effectively. Skills Strong knowledge of medical collection processes, billing procedures, and health insurance protocols including Medicare. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation review and management. Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications for administrative support tasks. Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical billing practices. Ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or medical office experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with healthcare workflows and office procedures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and documentation review. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances patient experience.
