Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Home Health Office Secretary, where your organizational skills and compassionate approach will be vital in supporting home health services. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for administrative operations, ensuring smooth communication between patients, healthcare providers, and community partners. Your energetic and detail-oriented mindset will help facilitate efficient scheduling, documentation, and office management, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality home health care. Duties Manage patient appointments, scheduling visits with home health clinicians and coordinating follow-up care Answer incoming calls promptly, providing friendly assistance to patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations Prepare and process documentation such as referrals, authorizations, billing forms, and medical reports Assist with insurance verifications and authorization requests to streamline patient intake processes Support office operations by ordering supplies, managing correspondence, and maintaining organized filing systems Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely communication of patient updates and scheduling changes Requirements Proven experience in administrative support within a healthcare or related setting is preferred Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills—friendly, clear, and professional in all interactions Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health record systems Knowledge of healthcare terminology and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by ensuring seamless administrative support for home health services.
