Primary Purpose:
Responsible for performing secretarial duties for supervisors of special education district-wide evaluation staff.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Minimum Assessment Standard:
Broad knowledge of MS Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel. File maintenance skills. Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to use personal computer and software.
Experience:
Previous successful secretarial experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication:
Direct questions, requests and concerns to appropriate campus personnel. Coordinate the logistics of monthly district-wide evaluation personnel meetings.
Clerical Support:
Perform secretarial duties for supervisors of campus diagnosticians, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and Speech/Language Pathologists. Maintain database of all special education evaluations conducted in the district. Utilize computer software to develop and maintain informational systems for diagnosticians, LSSP's and SLP's. Coordinate with SERS Specialist to maintain tracking of all test kits, protocols and associated software. Maintain filing systems of materials utilized in the evaluation process. Order test kits and protocols and purge out dated items when appropriate. Process and distribute evaluation reports. Maintain Private School Evaluations database. Assists in monitoring SHARS process.

Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
Physical Demands:
Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of the computer. Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment. May require occasional extended hours.
