Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Duties:
Maintain constant communication with truck drivers regarding routes, delivery schedules, and updates. Receive and dispatch orders for deliveries or products promptly and accurately. Monitor the route and status of field units to prioritize and adjust schedules as needed. Address issues and customer requests by transmitting information or finding timely solutions. Provide field staff with information related to traffic, obstacles, orders, and special requirements. Enter data into the computer system and maintain detailed logs of calls, delivery activity, and dispatch records.
Clerical Duties:
Answer and direct phone calls; respond to general customer inquiries. Perform data entry, maintain organized filing systems, and manage records. Prepare, edit, and distribute internal communications, reports, and forms. Assist in managing company databases and updating customer information. Support daily office operations and provide general administrative assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree preferred. 1+ year of experience in an administrative, dispatcher, or customer service role. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer systems. Comfortable working with ticketing or CRM systems (experience a plus). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication and time-management skills.
