Full Job Description Description:
The Summer Program Administrator is responsible for overseeing the administration and direction of the Upward Bound Summer Enrichment Program. This includes managing the program's operations, coordinating student and staff activities, fostering community involvement, and organizing trips in accordance with the Upward Bound summer component plan.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and monitors the Upward Bound students and summer program staff. Enters daily attendance data in the database. Contacts and meets with participants and parents, when appropriate, to maintain summer program attendance requirements. Actively monitors arrivals, passing periods, and dismissals. Be responsible for campus control and and participant discipline. Monitors classroom instruction to ensure adherence to program standards and provides coaching and feedback. Oversees the administration of pre-/post-assessments and TSI testing. Monitors program participants during lab hour, restroom breaks and cultural activities. Covers academic sessions until coverage arrives. Oversees meal and snack times for program participants. Ensures meals and spaces are prepped for breakfast and lunch for program participants. Assists summer teacher and program advisors with copying, laminating, sorting, etc. Collects and prepares summer program reports as required. Completes all closing tasks such as building check, audio visual/technology equipment return, return of keys/badges, and teacher check out. Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive DirectorSUPERVISION RECEIVED
Work performed under general supervision. Reports directly to the Executive Director.SUPERVISION EXERCISED

Summer program staff.Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in educational administration or similiar; or currently enrolled in a principal certification program. Principal certification or other appropriate certificate, or currently pursuing administrative certification.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Three years experience as a classroom teacher required, preferably high school experience. Instructional leadership training is preferred, but not required. Past experience as an administrator, instructional leadership, or team lead experience is preferred, but not required.REQUIRED SKILLS
Thorough understanding of school operations or youth programming. Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate campus functions. Ability to implement and supervise policy and procedures.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work-related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers, and presentation materials. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development are required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.WORKING CONDITIONS
