Adminstrative Assistant -Department Job Description:
EVENTS Office management and support for the department. Prioritizes and performs work independently; manages numerous and diverse tasks with confidentiality, self-motivation, problem solving, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills under continual deadlines while interacting with a broad range of personnel and public. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and district clientele.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
May attend meetings, prepare agendas, record, and produce minutes and materials; follow up as needed. May present department information to small groups. Manage use of purchase orders, pay vouchers, expense records, supply, and material inventories; may prepare proposed department budget for approval; monitor department budget. May assist with bookkeeping and financial management software. Respond to telephone calls, route calls, and take messages.Perform clerical support including:
composing and editing correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, maintaining files, photocopying, preparing presentation materials, coordinating logistics for various conferences and meetings, Assist with the development of various projects, special events, and process improvement projects. Process various purchase orders, vouchers, invoices, supply, and material inventories. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Coordinate the hiring process for all new hires, applicant tracking system, set up interviews, finger prints, physicals and final paperwork. Serve as a resource to administrators, staff, and the community.Certifications:
