Personal Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized care and support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and outings
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality

Experience:

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Familiarity with hospice care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is a plus
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial
