REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Ability to multitask even under high pressure situations Ability to maintain professional composure at all times Possess strong organizational skills Communicate with students, parents, and staff members in a courteous and supportive manner Ability to abide by confidentiality laws/procedures Ability to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines Proficient in computer use, printer use, using a photocopier, faxing, and in basic bookkeeping tasks.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clerical and administrative support to the principal, vice principal and teaching staff Ensure that the office operates in a consistently organized manner every day Act as liaison between the community, the school and other internal and external stakeholders Coordinate appropriate documents for communication with the district office Maintain all recordkeeping for students and staff Maintain student and staff confidentiality in all circumstances Track attendance and absences; use reporting software/generate reports Communicate effectively with a variety of district and community officials Use common computer hardware and software efficiently Perform data entry Perform general office duties such as answering telephone inquiries, filing, spreadsheets, Display strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Carry out assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision Provide services for teachers, administrators and students like typing, proofreading, and editing Maintain the integrity of information systems, databases, and office files Prepare and circulate communication documents Reconcile accounts Coordinate room reservations for internal and external meetings appointments, events being held on campus Purchase departmental resources like materials, computers hardware, software and office supplies Enroll students using school database/software Distribute incoming mail daily Dispense medication and attend to other medical needs of students when the nurse is off campus Create and maintain up to date class lists Manage activity fund accounts Facilitate Friday lunch orders for staff
