$17.00 per hour Job description: Ascent Academies of Utah is now accepting applications for a part-time
OFFICE ASSISTANT
at our Farmington Campus serving students from Kindergarten to 9th grade. The School Office Assistant provides front office support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, and assists with daily administrative tasks, communication, and record keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer and direct phone calls; take and deliver messages as needed. Assist with student attendance, late check-ins, early check-outs, and related documentation. Support staff with copying, printing, filing, and other clerical tasks. Maintain accurate records, data entry, and organization of student information. Process incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and school communications. Provide basic first aid or contact the school nurse/administration as needed. Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and room reservations. Help coordinate school events, communications, and family notifications. Uphold confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training preferred. Prior experience in an office or school setting is a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency with office software (email, spreadsheets, Google Workspace preferred). Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Work Environment:
School front office setting with frequent interaction with students, families, and staff. Requires the ability to sit, stand, and move around the school as needed.
