Bookkeeping / Office Coordinator $26-$31/Hour | Full-Time | Newport News, VA Keep the Numbers Right. Keep the Office Moving. Mechollage is a veteran-owned, locally owned HVAC and Electrical services company that has been serving the Virginia Beach area since 2009. We're growing and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeping / Office Coordinator to help keep our financial and administrative operations organized. This is a hands-on position with a lot of variety. You'll work across bookkeeping, billing, payroll support, office administration, employee paperwork, and operational coordination . We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities, stay ahead of deadlines, and become a dependable resource for both leadership and the field team. What You'll Be Responsible For Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare customer invoices, process payments, and assist with reconciliations Manage billing for service calls, installations, and time-and-material work Assist with payroll preparation, timekeeping, and maintaining payroll records Keep job costing, billing information, and operational records accurate and organized Assist with customer account setup, financing documentation, and collections follow-up Coordinate administrative steps for new employee onboarding Maintain personnel paperwork, digital records, and office files Support general office administration and correspondence Track company vehicle information, including maintenance, inspections, registrations, and related records Help leadership stay organized with administrative and operational needs Identify opportunities to improve processes and make daily office workflows more efficient What We're Looking For QuickBooks proficiency is required Previous experience in bookkeeping, office administration, accounting support, or business operations Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers Excellent organization and follow-through Comfortable handling multiple priorities and deadlines Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems Professional communication skills Able to work independently and use good judgment High school diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus Why Mechollage?
