Radford City - Main Campus Job Description The Virginia Department of Education's Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) at Radford University (RU) is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. The TTAC at RU provides training and technical assistance to 33 public school divisions and state operated programs in southwest Virginia. The TTAC is grant funded on an annual basis through the Virginia Department of Education. This position, under the broad direction of the co-directors, manages the administrative and financial activities of the center. Primary responsibilities include budget and fiscal management; office management; data collection, analysis and reporting; event planning; digital resource management; and general office support. Required Qualifications- Education, training and/or experience in accounting, business administration, or directly related field.
- Experience and ability to apply general accounting principles and budgeting practices.
- Knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory compliance and procurement systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in: o Working independently and as a team member o Utilizing problem solving skills, taking initiative and attending to details o Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment o Communicating verbally and in writing o Developing and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders o Using advanced software applications including spreadsheets, database management systems and word processing o Organization and office management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of university fiscal operations and experience with Banner, EVA, PeopleAdmin systems; knowledge of university offices and university policies/procedures.
- Conference/event planning experience
