Job Description
Cornerstone Housing Partners is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our Bennington team. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, residents, applicants, and community partners while providing administrative support for our Property Management programs. This position is a full-time hourly position. Consisting of a 40 hour per week schedule.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Administrative Assistant (AA) is the lead receptionist for Cornerstone Housing Partners located at our Bennington Office. The AA performs duties in support of the Property Management Department involving both rental occupancy and maintenance.PRINCIPAL DUTIES
The AA supports property management activities by carrying out the following functions: Intake of applications by phone or from walk-ins and sending requested applications by mail Distribute and receive applications, evaluate for completeness, enter into database Perform initial assessment of potential renters by thoroughly examining their applications. Assess the credit standings of applicants through background research; Landlord references, character references, credit and criminal background checks. Follow up with clients to clarify important details and conduct third party verifications. Schedule interviews, appointments, and meetings for PM staff with applicants and residents. Correspond in writing with candidates for reporting decisions (approval or denial). Input resident updates (contact info, etc.) in Yardi Database. Prepare application packets. Attend at the Property Management Department meetings. Records all incoming checks using CheckScan Maintains office supplies Carry out any additional property management related tasks/projects as assigned by the Property Manager.REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
2+ years of customer service and administrative experience preferred.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.Tech Skills:
Proficiency in MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and ability to learn software quickly.
