ABOUT THE ROLE
Front Office Admin provide initial contact between the patient and the office. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care through scheduling, registration, file maintenance and billing procedures . This is a part time position (20 hours a week with possibility for more) that will float between Rutland and Castleton Express care. Hours will be evening hours approximately 4:30pm - 8:00pm a few weekdays plus (1) 12 hour shift on Saturday or Sunday. This position is eligible for shift differential incentives.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Answers the telephone. Schedules appointments. Directs calls to appropriate staff. Provides appropriate information as needed. Directs customers to appropriate staff. Registers patients. Enters or updates patient information in computer.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior office experience preferably in a medical setting. Basic knowledge of computer skills. Basic medical terminology preferred.
