Job Description

We are a busy funeral home located in East Wenatchee seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, performing a variety of administrative duties that support daily office operations. This position plays an important role in assisting our staff and funeral directors with day-to-day responsibilities while helping ensure compassionate and efficient service to the families we serve. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of care and confidentiality.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills. They must be a team player who excels in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Candidates should be computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and be efficient in completing forms and documentation at a corporate level. Well-developed communication skills are essential, including the ability to provide excellent customer service through tasks such as answering multi-line phones, preparing reports and documentation, and interacting positively with individuals at all levels. We are looking for someone who is a fast learner, able to quickly adapt to and implement new procedures, work independently, prioritize workload effectively, and successfully manage multiple tasks at once.
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct multi-line phone calls Organize and schedule appointments and meetings Handle email and phone correspondence with other offices and medical practices Prepare letters, faxes, reports, and complete required forms and documentation Update and maintain office filing systems Order office supplies and maintain inventory Submit billing and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner to the accounting department Serve as the primary point of contact for families and future clients Provide professional, compassionate, and customer service-focused communication Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer use Manage multiple office responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Utilize strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Provide families, clients, and co-workers with needs-based solutions Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture Maintain professionalism and create a strong first impression for the office Quickly learn and implement new procedures and processes Prior office experience preferred
COMPENSATION
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED, with a preference placed in candidates who hold or are working towards a degree. At least four (1) years of demonstrated advanced level administrative/clerical duties or any equivalent combination of education and experience. We would prefer a candidate that has a work history that reflects dependability and dedication .
