Reports To:
Building Principal Job Goal:
Work as support personnel to the Principal. Portray a positive image for the school.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of business training or related experience preferred. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Knowledge of proper filing methods and procedures. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including copy machine, fax machine, and computer. Good English skills. Ability to perform clerical work requiring accuracy and speed. Ability to make mathematical computations. Ability to type from clear copy at a speed of 50 words per minute. Fingerprinting and background check is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Performance Responsibilities:
Administrative Support Answer telephone, take messages, relay information, and answer inquiries. Assist principal, staff, students, and community members as needed. Maintain confidential records and information. Coordinate meetings, schedules, and office operations. Independently or in accordance with general instructions compose correspondence, type bulletins, etc. Handle mail. Student Services Perform computerized school administration duties (enroll students, schedule students, compile grades, print and issue report cards, keep demographic information current, process withdrawals, etc.) Keep records and contact information up to date. Support student discipline documentation, communication, and recordkeeping. Assist with student services and intervention processes. Supervise students who are in the office for discipline or other reasons. Athletics and Activities Coordinate athletic and activity eligibility, registration, communication, and recordkeeping. Assist with ASB and student activity processes, including financial documentation and event support. Serve as a liaison between students, families, staff, coaches, advisors, and administration. Customer Service and Office Operations Serve as a welcoming and professional representative of the school. Administer first aid to injured students. Notify parents of injury when necessary. Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to students, families, staff, and community members. Assist in planning, dispersing, and maintaining building budget. Schedule parent/teacher conferences for Fall & Spring. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
