Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, next-generation system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies core mission priorities, and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.

In this role, you support executive and departmental operations by managing scheduling, communications, travel arrangements, and coordination activities essential for efficient organizational execution. You assist leaders across departments by organizing meetings, preparing documents, maintaining records, and facilitating cross-team communication. Your work strengthens operational efficiency, enhances daily workflow, and enables leadership to focus on strategic priorities.

ResponsibilitiesProvides comprehensive administrative support to executive and departmental leaders.

Manages calendars, schedules meetings, coordinates events, and supports departmental priorities.

Prepares, organizes, and distributes correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting materials.

Coordinates domestic and international travel arrangements, itineraries, accommodations, and related logistics.

Serves as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to support communication and coordination.

Maintains organized records, files, and documentation.

Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Anticipates administrative needs, prioritizes competing demands, and recommends process improvements.

Provides general office support and performs additional administrative duties and projects as assigned.

Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.

Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Reliable transportation.

Preferred QualificationsAssociates degree, bachelors degree, or additional training in business administration or a related field.

Two or more years of experience in office administration.

Experience supporting managers or department leaders.

Experience coordinating travel arrangements and using travel and expense systems such as Concur.

Physical RequirementsUses stairs regularly.

Occasionally lifts objects up to 30 pounds. The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
