Job Description
POSITION
#264-CLS-07-26: Attendance Secretary Wenatchee High School 8.0 hours per day/201 days per yearSalary:
$23.61- $26.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records for all students, ensuring compliance with state and district regulations.
- Monitor student attendance patterns and assist in identifying and addressing attendance-related issues.
- Communicate with parents, guardians, and staff regarding attendance policies, procedures, and student absences.
- Process excused and unexcused absence requests, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Generate and distribute attendance reports as required for administrative review and state reporting.
- Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, and administration to support student attendance initiatives.
- Assist in the enrollment and withdrawal process of students, ensuring accurate attendance data is maintained.
- Provide secretarial support to the school office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing correspondence.
- Participate in school events and meetings as needed to support attendance-related initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by school administration.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent. Secretarial/Clerical experience required.
- Bilingual/Bi-literate (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite and experience with student information systems. Strong computer knowledge/ MAC computers. Experience with the Skyward system (including tracking attendance and building reports) is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Knowledge of attendance policies and regulations is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- May require prolonged sitting or standing.
