Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site. Job Description Job Summary Performs clerical work in area departments. What you will do Performs clerical tasks such as keyboarding, including transcribing as needed, and data entry, filing, duplicating, answering telephone, provides customer service to external visitors and implements security measures for visitors. Compiles, verifies and maintains records and files related to area department activities such as substation, electric and gas maintenance and meter tracking systems. Receives, sorts, processes and distributes mail; accepts and prepares deliveries of mail, packages and materials. Operates company communications systems as required. Prepares and maintains contractor billing information; prepares common work order as directed. Maintains switch diagrams and maps. Coordinates vehicle schedules, repairs orders, preventative maintenance and compiles statistical information and prepares summaries and reports. Handles customer inquiries and, if necessary, refers them to the appropriate personnel (i.e. meter reading/test data, requests for water sampling tests, prepares material for special order billing, locations of meters, transformers and time switches). Processes payroll data, training attendance reports, invoices, petty cash, underground locating requests, reconciles expense reports, initiates and closes customer service orders and other documents related to area department activities. Initiates and tracks purchase order requisitions as requested. Assists with event planning and implementation such as safety meetings, all employee meetings, and employee training. Maintains compliance with records related to the communication of job postings and vacancies. Assists with completing the online applications for employees who do not have regular access to ERP. Orders stationary and office supplies and maintains inventories. Performs other duties which are similar, related or incidental to this position. Education Requirements Required Experience 2 years office experience or business training Preferred Experience Other Requirements Must possess a valid driver's license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office equipment Demonstrated mathematical accuracy Skill and accuracy in record keeping Ability and skills to handle customer contacts in a manner that encourages positive customer relations, effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of company programs and services, policies, procedures and issues that involve customer relations. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
