Join Our Team and Help Shape Unforgettable Camp Experiences - YMCA Camp MacLean is now hiring a part time Summer Overnight Camp Office Assistant! As the Summer Overnight Camp Office Assistant , you'll be at the heart of our camp's operations, ensuring a seamless registration process and providing top-notch customer service. This seasonal role involves managing camper registrations, handling financial transactions, assisting with sales, and supporting our marketing efforts. You'll play a crucial role in creating unforgettable camp experiences while carrying out the mission of YMCA Camp MacLean. Ensure proper following of all procedures, policies and public relations at all times. Act as a team member, working closely with other staff on all interrelated matters. In conjunction with the Camp Program Director, co-administrates and assists with the selling of camp sessions. First line communication to all Camp MacLean constituents. Develop relationships with Camp MacLean customers, be attentive to their needs. Answer phones with a strong emphasis on customer service. Oversee and manage the camper registration process for overnight, winter and family camp programs Assist as needed in writing and distributing user group agreements. Administer all financial transactions related to revenue. Administer and manage financial accounts for campers and guests. Responsible for camp mail distribution and delivery. Maintain and manage camper database. Work with the year-round business office to make sure all business functions are professional, efficient and accurate. Responsible for maintaining accurate files and records. All other duties as assigned. High School Diploma. At least 2 years of college coursework (preferably business or communication major). At least 3 years' experience in office administration, camp operations, sales, and/or experience in general bookkeeping. Previous sales/customer service experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, mail and documents, and similar software. Experience and strong knowledge of social media is a preferred. Ability to work with other seasonal and/or full-time business office staff is required. Must be an energetic person committed to the YMCA mission. Ability to work occasional weekend or evenings. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
