Position Summary The General Support Administrator is responsible for receptionist duties and data entry, and performing other various office duties. This position will also assist with other various office duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service:
Provides excellent customer service by answering phone calls, greeting walk-in clients, and working with internal staff.
Phone Duties:
Answers and transfers calls as necessary.
Credit Card Payments:
Processes customer credit card payments.
Office Supplies:
Orders and organizes office supplies, tracking purchasing discounts and prices.
Filing:
Performs general filing duties to maintain organized records.
Uniform Management:
Manages the employee uniform garment program.
Appointment Setup:
Assists with setting up appointments through Diggers Hotline.
Data Entry:
Completes assigned data entry projects efficiently and accurately.
Mail Handling:
Distributes and processes mail, ensuring timely delivery.
Gift Cards:
Creates gift cards for the retail Garden Center.
Timecard Reconciliation:
Assists with reconciling and correcting staff timecards.
Communication:
Effectively communicates with customers and staff to ensure efficient office operations.
Problem Solving:
Communicates any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff.
Other Duties:
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Safety Compliance:
Follows company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Supervisory Responsibilities None:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education, Certification, and License High School Diploma:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience Office Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of administrative support/office experience is required.
Specific Requirements Customer Service:
Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
Math Skills:
Proficient math skills, including cash handling and reconciliation.
Communication:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Organizational Skills:
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Microsoft Office:
Must have experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
Microsoft Dynamics:
Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements Mobility:
Regularly walks, sits, talks, and listens for long periods throughout the day.
Lifting:
Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Reaching:
Occasionally required to reach above shoulders.
Motor Skills:
Vision and fine motor skills are required for computer use and creating communication.
Job Specifications Position Type:
This position is a Part-Time Year-Round role.
Work Hours:
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, (25-30) per week).
Overtime:
Overtime may be required based on workload demands.
