Description:
Position Summary The Plant Administrative Assistant provides administrative, clerical, and operational support to the manufacturing facility. This position serves as a central point of contact for plant employees, management, vendors, and visitors while ensuring efficient office operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with 30+ employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager and plant leadership team. Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other business documents. Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and paper-based. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries. Assist with employee onboarding and orientation activities. Coordinate training schedules and assist with maintaining training records. Support employee engagement activities, meetings, and company events. Assist with production reporting, data entry, and recordkeeping. Maintain plant forms, logs, and operational documentation. Support inventory documentation and purchasing administration. Coordinate office and plant supply orders. Assist with scheduling and communication of plant announcements. Maintain office equipment and coordinate service requests. Order and manage office supplies and consumables. Coordinate visitor sign-in procedures and facility access. Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Requirements:
Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of administrative experience required. Manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Experience working with ERP systems, timekeeping software, or HRIS systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel between office and production areas as needed. Work Environment Manufacturing facility with approximately 30+ employees. Combination of office and plant floor environment. Exposure to moderate noise levels and manufacturing operations.
