Posting Details Posting Detail Information Student Requisition Number 2027033STP Job Title Office Assistant - College of Nursing Number of Positions Available 2 Funded by Federal Workstudy only Yes Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities The Office Assistant provides essential support to the College of Nursing by serving as a first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors. This position helps ensure smooth daily operations by managing communications, maintaining supplies, and assisting with lab access and departmental events. Greet and direct students and visitors in a professional and helpful manner. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to voicemail messages in a timely manner. Monitor and respond to departmental emails; route inquiries appropriately. Maintain office supply inventory and submit requests for replenishment. Assist with open hours in the skills lab and simulation lab by providing access and ensuring basic readiness of spaces. Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and document organization. Support planning and execution of departmental events, meetings, and functions. Assist with preparations and logistics for student orientations. Maintain confidentiality of student and departmental information at all times. Perform other duties as assigned to support the College of Nursing's mission and operations. Minimum Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer usage. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
