Storeroom Clerk Good Shepherd Nursing Home - Wheeling, WV 26003
Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Apply Description Summary of Position:
Responsible for all departmental activities concerning the ordering and maintaining of supplies needed for the operation of the facility. Responsible for all the equipment and supplies that enter or leave the facility (except for the Maintenance Department).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains a good working relationship with vendors to utilize them for the best service possible. Maintains a good working relationship with all facility department heads to ensure their inventory needs are met. Help to oversee centralized procurement of all supplies, equipment, and services for the facility and maintain appropriate records to indicate purchases made and supplies received. Help with maintaining a database for inventory and supplies, within the storeroom. Helps in conducting monthly inventory counts of supplies for all departments. Help to resolve problems concerning overdue orders or incorrect shipments. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Finance Office Manager or the Administrator. QAPI Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization. Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts. Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.
Qualifications Experience/Education:
Must be a high school graduate with at least 2-3 years of experience in long-term care settings. Good organizational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks/requests at any given time. Good communication skills and ability to interact with outside vendors and representatives. Basic computer/math skills along with good record keeping methods. Ability to follow instructions well and to carry out requests in a timely manner.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Must be in good physical and mental health. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs while following the facility's safety protocol. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, etc. for an extended period of time depending upon the task needing done. Share job details to
