at Department of Corrections in Pinckneyville, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview Pinckneyville Correctional Center is seeking a detailed Office Associate to perform a variety of clerical functions in the Records Office. The ideal candidate will keyboard complex reports, documents, forms and memorandums, and organize/maintain individuals in custody master files. In addition, they will respond to inquiries in person and by phone, as well as utilize automated office equipment to complete tasks. Prepares dress outs and packets for individuals in custody who are being transferred. Composes and keyboards correspondence to outside agencies including the sheriff’s office, police state attorneys, and courts. Provides information in response to telephone requests for authorized personnel inside and outside the agency. Maintains individual in custody master files. Prepares and distributes daily individual in custody movement coordinating with County/Placement Office. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
