2 Years Description Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Clerk Typist II - Degree Audit Processor position. This is a full-time support staff position located at the Vincennes Campus.
Primary Function/Description:
The Clerk Typist II - Degree Audit Processor is responsible for supporting the operations of the Registrar's Office while assisting students, faculty, and staff in implementing and maintaining student records data and systems. This role's primary responsibility is managing all aspects of the graduation application process while supporting other duties in the Registrar's Office, such as extensive data entry and analysis of student records. Additionally, the position involves answering inquiries and communicating policies and procedures both verbally and in writing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process and assist with all aspects of the graduation application process. Enter, validate and update student records in University systems. Assist with evaluation of transfer credit, maintaining equivalency databases, document imaging, managing student academic files, enrollment verifications, academic transcript distribution, and other assigned tasks. Prepare correspondence, answer phones, and perform general clerical duties as assigned. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the University Catalog, academic policies, and FERPA guidelines.
Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and the ability to operate general office equipment. Familiarity with Banner software is preferred, with the ability to become proficient in University systems required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced office environment. Must be dependable, organized, team-oriented, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively. Ability to respect and maintain the confidentiality of student academic records. Occasional evening and weekend overtime may be required.
Education, Experience, Licensure:
A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred. Experience in a university office environment is preferred.
Physical Demands:
This position requires good hearing, vision, and manual dexterity for general office tasks, including typing, filing, answering telephones, and writing. The role also requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and may occasionally require lifting and moving heavy boxes.
