This position is designed for AACPS high school students who have been recruited to participate in the apprenticeship program. JOB SUMMARY
A youth internship for high school students. Performs general clerical office tasks. Duties are specific based on office assignment at the central office. The intern will provide support in performing varied and moderately complex tasks including preparing and processing forms, records, correspondence, memoranda, documents, and reports. Additional Work Days/Hours Based on the assignment, the following additional work days and/or hours may be required as needed: Summer hours
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing in office environment to learn to use Microsoft Office Suite skills and office equipment. Supports central office staff using different technological and systematic applications. Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Ability to work efficiently and harmoniously with others and at the direction of central office staff. Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations. Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
