Job Description
This position is a Competitive Civil Service Position and requires the applicant to be: Reachable on an existing Dutchess County Human Resources Certification of Eligible List; or, Currently working in, or previously held a Typist civil service title; or, Other candidates who have equivalent education and licensing are encouraged to apply and will be considered as allowed per Civil Service regulations. ___________________________________________________________________________ Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for two 12-Month Typist positions with full benefits. These positions provide confidential secretarial and clerical support for their building and related administrators. Typical work may include but is not limited to the following: General clerical duties, including telephone skills, typing/word processing, filing and office organization Greet visitors, staff and students in a professional and accommodating manner Collate materials Organize materials for mailings Open and distribute mail Other duties as required by the department Administrator For additional information please refer to: Typist Job Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent GED Office experience preferred Ability to handle confidential material appropriately Physically able to perform all essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation)
