Job Description

The Valley Stream CHSD, a beautifully diverse school community, is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Typist Clerk- Provisional. The position will require the successful candidates to take the Civil Service Typist Clerk Exam when it is announced. later this year. The position requires strong organizational skills relative to filing and organizing documents. The position includes answering calls, taking messages, working with spreadsheets/data, and completing special projects as needed. There is significant interaction with staff, parents and community members. The successful candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as computer/technology skills. Instruction and training for required tasks will be provided. Strong consideration given to bilingual candidates with Spanish and English proficiency.
