Temporary Records Clerk Dept./
School:
Student Support Services Pay Grade:
15.00/hour
Primary Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, assist the current records clerk with the organization and scanning of historical records to electronic storage.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to speak, read, and understand English Ability to read and comprehend instructions Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations Effective public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
1 year of clerical experience in an office setting
Other/Miscellaneous Responsibilities and Duties:
Phones and Reception Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. Greet visitors (e.g. public, parents, students, substitutes, vendors, etc.) respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with district policies and procedures regarding building security. Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues. Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties. Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, etc., for the department using personal computer. Maintain physical and computerized departmental files. Maintain other records as needed. Other Provide clerical assistance as needed. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required. Maintain confidentiality.

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; multi-line phone system

Reception desk in the administrative/central office
