Job Description
Overview The Mail Carrier plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses. This position requires a dedicated individual who is capable of navigating various routes, providing excellent customer service, and handling delivery vehicle with care. As a Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the mail while fostering positive relationships with customers. Duties Deliver mail and packages to designated routes in a timely manner. Operate delivery vehicle, ensuring safe driving practices. Load and unload mail and parcels from the vehicle efficiently. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups via scanner. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise. Follow established routes while adapting to changes in delivery schedules or traffic conditions. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety. Collaborate with postal staff. Requirements Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and the public. Ability to lift heavy packages (70 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Ability to pass a federal background check. Must have a clean driving record and been licensed for two years. Must be able to pass a drug test.
