Full Job Description Description Job Overview:
As a Package Handler, you will play a crucial role improving our residents' experience by ensuring prompt and precise package processing in our high-rise apartment buildings. As a part of our dedicated team, you will manage all package-related operations seamlessly, prioritizing convenience and security for our residents.
Your Responsibilities:
Carry out the day-to-day tasks Ensure that residents receive their packages on time and without damage Develop, implement, and communicate packing and delivery strategies to streamline work Receive and process all types of packages, and deliveries maintaining a flawless package management system Sort and track packages from receipt by the building to receipt by addressee/package owner Document custody transfers from receipt to delivery Organize package storage area for efficiency and safety Communicate effectively with team members and residents to issues related to package delivery or non-receipt Safely perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting packages Handle packages with the utmost care, skillfully avoiding any drops or abrupt movements that might result in injury or potential damage
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Multiple language fluency is desirable. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs. Heavy lifting required (baggage handling) Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time. Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions. Complete all required forms. Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
