Rural Carrier Associate

Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Load, unload, and organize packages using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Deliver packages directly to customers' doorsteps, ensuring accuracy and promptness in route driving. Assist with heavy lifting and moving items of different sizes and weights to complete deliveries efficiently. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation throughout your shift. Communicate effectively with customers to confirm deliveries and address any questions or concerns. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safe operation during route driving. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service or delivery roles, with a strong focus on providing positive interactions. Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial vehicles is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks involving moving packages of various sizes. Experience with forklift operation, pallet jacks, or similar equipment is a plus. Knowledge of driving techniques for manual transmission vehicles; driver experience is advantageous. Strong organizational skills for route planning and load management; ability to navigate using GPS or maps effectively.
