McCready Law | Downtown Chicago Part-Time | Weekday Mid-Day Hours | On-site $18.00-$21.00 per hour Looking for a part-time job that fits nicely into the middle of your weekday? McCready Law is looking for a dependable, organized Part-Time Mail Clerk to join our downtown Chicago office. This could be a great fit for someone who enjoys a consistent weekday schedule, likes staying busy, and values accuracy and reliability. No nights. No weekends. Just a steady part-time schedule of approximately 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, primarily during the middle of the business day. What You'll Do You'll help keep the behind-the-scenes pieces of our office moving by: Sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages Preparing outgoing mail, certified mail, and overnight shipments Routing checks, legal correspondence, and other time-sensitive documents Processing returned and undeliverable mail Scanning, copying, and distributing documents Tracking packages and deliveries Keeping the mailroom organized and stocked Helping with occasional office-support projects when needed Because we are a law firm, you'll also work with confidential and sometimes time-sensitive information, so attention to detail is important.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Good judgment and respect for confidential information. Basic computer and office-equipment skills. Ability to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds and move throughout the office during the workday. Previous mailroom, shipping/receiving, administrative, or office experience is helpful, but we are also open to someone with the right attitude and transferable experience who is willing to learn.
