Job Description

Mailroom Receiving Clerk Location:
Evanston, IL Pay:
$17-$20/hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and customer-service-oriented Mailroom Receiving Clerk to support daily mailroom operations. This role will be responsible for receiving, sorting, tracking, and distributing mail and packages while providing professional service to employees, customers, and delivery drivers. Responsibilities Receive, sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Enter and update package information in the mailroom tracking system. Prepare outgoing mail and coordinate carrier pickups. Operate postage equipment and maintain accurate mail logs. Research and resolve incorrectly addressed or unmarked mail. Answer customer calls and assist with package tracking and delivery questions. Communicate with delivery drivers regarding pickups and deliveries. Organize packages and mail for delivery routes and assist with vehicle loading. Serve as a substitute driver for package/mail deliveries and pickups using a small transit van. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and database systems. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move packages. Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
