This opportunity is best suited for applicants who have a reliable vehicle, strong communication skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to complete accepted routes without close supervision. Independent-Contractor Opportunity This is an independent-contractor opportunity with Divine Works E&T. It is not employment with Divine Works or Amazon. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, vehicle, fuel, maintenance, phone, and ordinary business expenses unless a signed written agreement states otherwise. Routes, package volume, revenue, and continued opportunities are not guaranteed.
Location and Availability Pickup location:
814 Parkwood Drive, Joliet, Illinois 60435 We are primarily seeking applicants who can identify five days each week when they are generally available to complete delivery routes. Contractors may not decline a scheduled or assigned delivery opportunity. Once a route is assigned and packages are received, the assignment must be completed or properly transitioned through the approved emergency or reassignment process. Anticipated Package Volume An accepted delivery day may include approximately 60-70 packages. This is an estimate only. Actual volume may be lower or higher depending on Amazon volume, route density, holidays, weather, customer demand, returns, and operational changes. Applicants must have a vehicle capable of safely holding the anticipated package volume. Compensation The contractor receives 60% of the Gross Delivery Revenue attributable to the contractor's verified compensable deliveries. Compensation is based on verified delivery revenue, not an assumed package count. Payment is normally expected on Monday for the applicable prior reconciliation period, subject to Amazon records, reconciliation, disputes, reversals, corrections, and the signed contractor agreement. No minimum route count, weekly earnings, or package volume is guaranteed. Primary Responsibilities- Review and accept available delivery opportunities.
- Arrive at the Joliet pickup location within the stated pickup window for accepted routes.
- Count, scan, organize, load, secure, and deliver assigned packages.
- Report missing, damaged, duplicated, or incorrectly assigned packages promptly.
- Use approved navigation, scanning, and proof-of-delivery processes accurately.
- Follow customer instructions, access-code requirements, signature requirements, and package-return procedures.
- Protect customer information and maintain package security at all times.
- Report accidents, vehicle problems, delays, customer issues, missing packages, and safety concerns immediately.
- Complete end-of-route reconciliation and return all undeliverable or return-required packages. Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving qualifications.
- Reliable, registered, roadworthy vehicle suitable for approximately 60-70 packages.
- Automobile insurance that permits commercial package delivery or business use, supported by written confirmation from the insurer before onboarding.
- Reliable smartphone with mobile data, navigation, location services, and charging capability.
- Ability to lift, carry, load, unload, and safely handle packages of varying sizes, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to reliably reach a Joliet-area pickup location during the pickup window for accepted routes.
- Willingness to complete a Form W-9 and operate as an independent contractor responsible for taxes and ordinary business expenses.
- Willingness to complete lawful background and motor-vehicle-record screening required for package access.
- Professional communication, customer service, honesty, and dependable follow-through. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous courier, package-delivery, rideshare, grocery-delivery, warehouse, transportation, logistics, or customer-service experience.
- Familiarity with Joliet and surrounding communities.
- Experience using delivery and navigation applications.
- Experience organizing packages and completing responsibilities independently.
- Previous experience managing independent-contractor records, expenses, or a small service business.
