Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Mail Carrier to join our team. As a Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to residential and business addresses. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and driving. If you have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize mail and packages for delivery
- Load mail into vehicle and ensure proper handling
- Drive designated routes to deliver mail and packages
- Collect outgoing mail from businesses and post offices
- Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company vehicles
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds)
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Please note that this position may require driving larger vehicles such as box trucks or tractor-trailers.
