Job Description

We are looking for a Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations for a services environment in Waltham, Massachusetts. This is a Contract position focused on keeping incoming and outgoing mail organized, secure, and delivered accurately across the campus. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling routine administrative tasks while maintaining accountability for time-sensitive and tracked items.
Responsibilities:
  • Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments and recipients throughout the Boston, Massachusetts campus.
  • Receive accountable and trackable deliveries, maintain accurate records, and ensure items reach the correct destination promptly.
  • Prepare outgoing mail by checking packaging, labels, and postage before releasing items through approved carriers such as USPS.
  • Perform routine mailroom support tasks, including logging shipments, staging deliveries, and keeping work areas orderly.
  • Assist with day-to-day operational needs by responding to basic mail-related requests from staff and internal teams.
  • Monitor mail volumes throughout the day and help maintain timely pickup and delivery schedules for regular and priority items.
