The position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.
Key Responsibilities:
Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices Unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations Transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheel barrow Responsible for submitting to the COR, Alternate COR, and SSA management weekly reports detailing the number of notices and cards delivered to the designated presort vendor.
Skills & Behaviors:
Knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and MS Office software. Knowledge of clerical and reporting skills. Excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in high-pressure situations. Ability to listen effectively and express thoughts and opinions clearly and concisely. Ability to work well both alone and in highly structured team environment. Excellent written and verbal communications capabilities with good interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
Education, Training, & Experience:
HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of personal computer experience. (required) Some higher education experience or successful completion of related programs in data processing and computer operations. (preferred) Experience in business mailroom, print operations, and/or mail sorting experience. (preferred) Experience with using loading and maneuvering equipment safely and effectively. (preferred)
Qualifications:
Candidates who hold an active public trust government clearance are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates who are willing to undergo a background investigation to receive a government clearance will be strongly considered. Candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm daily. (Hours may vary based on workload and candidates must be flexible) Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more. Must be able to stand for significant periods of time.
