Job Summary Join our team as a Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional service to communities in rural areas. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering mail, packages, and parcels directly to customers' doorsteps. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure timely deliveries, foster positive customer relationships, and support the smooth operation of our delivery network. Duties Safely load, unload, and organize packages in box trucks or delivery vehicles with manual transmission. Deliver mail and parcels along designated routes, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs at residential or business addresses. Assist with heavy lifting and moving items as needed to facilitate efficient deliveries. Use warehouse experience to handle shipments, including loading pallets with pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route activities throughout your shift. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws; drive confidently using commercial or driver licenses. Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient inquiries professionally and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously. Experience operating box trucks, cargo vans, or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting, moving items safely, and handling physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license suitable for commercial driving; experience as a courier or delivery driver is highly desirable. Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize efficiency while maintaining safety standards. Ability to stay organized, follow detailed instructions, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
