Job Summary The Rural Carrier Associate is responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural areas, ensuring timely and accurate service to customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various driving conditions while managing the logistics of mail delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of driving experience and physical capability to handle the demands of the job. Duties Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner. Operate a box truck or other delivery vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles. Load and unload mail and packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, adhering to postal regulations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from customers along the route. Perform heavy lifting and moving of parcels as required throughout the delivery process. Utilize warehouse experience when necessary for sorting and organizing mail before delivery. Follow established routes while being adaptable to changes as needed for efficient delivery. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting client needs. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics operations. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks or similar vehicles. Proven delivery driver experience with an emphasis on route driving efficiency. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and effectively. Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial for loading/unloading tasks. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential for this position. Experience as a courier or in similar roles that require attention to detail in deliveries.
