POSITION SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for processing of the presort letter and flats as part of a team on the automated sorting machines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pull mail out of the sorter bins, verify the mail for correct barcode, and then place the mail into the appropriate tray or bin. Upon filling of the tray or bin, tag, sleeve and band the mail before it is placed on the pallets Scan the mail, place on pallets and shrink wrap it before loading it into the USPS truck Ensure USPS compliance - of all mail Mail is processed correctly and accurately Mail flows through organization quickly Maximum uptime on all machines Support other areas during down time Notify Sorter Operator of any machine related issues Oversee odd jobs that are processed Manage supplies, reload needed tray, tubs and tags Look for improvements in processing customers mail Assist in demonstrations for customers Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
This position is in a office/warehouse environment Standard & specialized office equipment is used (such as computers, phones, copier, mail machine, folder inserter, printers, sorters, etc.) as well as tool use (screw driver, clamps, drills, pliers, wrenches, etc) Mix of physical and sedentary position This position would require some lifting/carrying (up to 25lbs) Filing, bending, standing, reaching with hands/arms, using tools, etc. as necessary While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to speak and hear
TRAVEL:
This position requires little to no travel.
