Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Rural Mail Carrier and become a vital link in delivering mail and packages to communities nestled in scenic rural areas. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to navigate diverse routes, provide exceptional customer service, and enjoy the satisfaction of connecting people with their deliveries. As a key member of our postal service team, you will operate various vehicle types, handle parcels with care, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries in a dynamic environment. Duties Safely operate different types of vehicles including box trucks and courier vans to deliver mail and packages along designated rural routes Load and unload parcels efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Load your vehicle at the start of your shift and unload at delivery points, ensuring items are handled with care Drive safely through varied terrain and weather conditions while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Provide excellent customer service by delivering parcels directly to recipients' doors or designated drop-off points Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and delivery confirmations throughout your shift Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management or moving supplies when needed Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or route driving with a focus on customer satisfaction Strong background in customer service, ensuring positive interactions with community members during deliveries Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or vehicles with manual transmissions Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus Knowledge of driving safety protocols, load & unload procedures, and route navigation in rural settings Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with drivers or heavy vehicle operation preferred This energetic role offers an engaging work environment where your driving skills and dedication make a real difference.
