As a Gate Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently while supporting drivers, carriers, and site operations every day. Our success is built on the strength, reliability, and dedication of our team. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Gate Clerk in Dallas, TX . In this role, you'll be responsible for managing gate operations, verifying inbound and outbound trailers, conducting audits and inspections, and ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of daily activity. You'll also assist with data entry and communication using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. This position is key to maintaining smooth operations and delivering excellent service to our customers. Preferred knowledge and/or experience in transportation, shipping, and/or receiving Identify, resolve, and promptly report trailer and/or operational issues to Site Management and other responsible parties Conduct daily audits, inspections, and reconciliation of the drop lot in all weather conditions Pull daily production numbers, perform data entry into production spreadsheets, and report findings in a timely manner Ensure accuracy of daily staffing sheets based on schedules provided by Site Management Support data entry and reporting related to equipment maintenance and/or repairs to Site Management and/or the Safety team Monitor the accuracy of bills and invoices processed in the Fleet Management System (FMS) Receive, sort, and file DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Site Management teamQualifications:
Valid driver's license Ability to safely operate a company-issued vehicle for inspections and audits as needed Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and/or Teams Flexible availability with the ability to work in various weather conditions Strong organizational and time management skills Accurate and efficient data entry skills Excellent communication skills Ability to perform physical tasks, including opening/closing trailer doors, walking for extended periods, and lifting over 50 lbs #canonSimilar jobs in Dallas, TX
