Medical Front Desk / Patient Coordinator (Ophthalmology Practice) We are a busy, well-established retina practice seeking a friendly and reliable Front Desk / Patient Coordinator to join our team. This is a patient-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and keeping a fast-paced office running smoothly. Why This Role Stands Out Stable, physician-owned specialty practice Supportive, team-oriented environment Structured workflow with clear responsibilities Consistent schedule and patient volume Competitive pay based on experience What You'll Do Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Answer phones and assist with scheduling Collect copays and patient balances Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointments and insurance Assist with basic front-end insurance follow-up as needed What We're Looking For Experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or patient coordinator role Comfortable verifying insurance (BCBS, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans) Strong customer service and communication skills Organized and able to multitask in a busy clinic Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Solid computer skills (EMR, data entry, Word/Excel) Bonus (Not Required) Ophthalmology or specialty clinic experience Experience with prior authorizations or referrals
