Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of Overman Buildings. In this role, you will manage front desk operations, handle incoming calls, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, clients, and staff. Your proactive approach and excellent organizational skills will ensure smooth office management and seamless communication across departments. Duties Greet visitors professionally, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly Manage incoming calls, directing calls efficiently to appropriate departments or personnel Handle data entry and filing to maintain accurate records and support office operations Utilize Microsoft Office, and other computer skills to prepare documents, correspondence, and scheduling appointments Assist with calendar management, appointment setting, and scheduling for team members or clients as needed Support office management tasks such as organizing supplies, maintaining cleanliness of the front desk area, and overseeing general administrative functions Provide customer support by addressing inquiries via phone or email promptly and professionally Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Prior experience with multi-line phone systems, printers, scanners Strong typing skills with attention to detail for data entry and proofreading tasks Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while multitasking in a busy environment To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Prior experience in an office setting required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight and measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Must be able to operate scanners, copiers and printers
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arkansas Driver's License and excellent driving record preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions; filing and record keeping; ability to communicate with employees, managers, and professionals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear. The employee is frequently on the computer entering data and or reading data. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
